I’ve had a personal task for a number of years to get a photo of a kea in the wild. But it had to have an interesting background to it as well.

I started off tracking a pair down a river, which ended in a fall in some rather cold glacial water. Luckily no water on the camera. Instead the keas went straight back to near the cars almost in mockery.
